Certified quality standards

Quality plays a central role in all aspects of our daily work. Our high standards have repeatedly been certified according to the European standard DIN EN ISO 9001.
These standards apply not only to our medical treatment but also to the way we deal with patients and staff. Patients can be sure of quick appointments, short waiting times, and friendly staff. It goes without saying that the doctors, nursing staff on the ward and all the employees at our affiliated specialist practices regularly take part in further training seminars.

Top quality guarantees a high level of patient satisfaction.

Hospitals are not obliged to undergo this certification procedure. The Emma Klinik, however, wants to be sure that it is delivering the high quality it strives to achieve and therefore regularly calls in an independent institute to check compliance with the defined standards. This gives patients even more security and quality.

The high quality standards at the Emma Klinik are not only certified by independent institutes such as the German TÜV SÜD Inspection Agency. Confirmation comes from the patients themselves as well. In regular surveys, around 92 % of patients recommend the Emma Klinik as "very good".

Hygiene and data protection

Hygiene is crucial in medicine. This is why the Emma Klinik has its own specially qualified medical hygiene officer, Dr. med. Detlev Grapentin. He is supported in his work by the medical hygienist Heike Krapf. In addition, the Emma Klinik is inspected regularly at its own request by the German Institute of Hospital Hygiene and Infection Control.

Data protection is also a matter of great importance to the Emma Klinik. Medical data are after all some of the most sensitive personal data. In order to guarantee maximum data security, the managing director of the Emma Klinik, Joachim Sieger, also acts as a data protection officer. When designing the internal IT system, all aspects of data protection were taken into consideration.

Read about our quality

Hospitals are obliged by law to draw up and publish a quality report every two years. This obligation does not apply to private hospitals and day clinics, however. Although the Emma Klinik is under no legal obligation to draw up and publish a quality report, our senior consultants consider it very important to publish their data in the legally required form. This gives patients the possibility to compare the services offered by the Emma Klinik with other hospitals and day clinics. The quality reports contain information on the number of treatments carried out in each department, the general non-medical services offered by the Emma Klinik and the Emma Klinik quality policy.
